The sound of Fufa Drum roars in Arua City as westnile province edged lango province 2-0 at Ababet greenlight stadium in the first leg of Fufa Drum finals on Saturday 7th of January 2023.

Westnile's towering center back 𝐓𝐨𝐡𝐚 𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝 who plays for Arua Hill SC and south Sudan national team put the white Rhinos Infront at 36th minute hour mark before the halftime interval.

𝐓𝐨𝐡𝐚 scored a brilliant goal from a set piece, he bounced the ball low right Infront of the former Uganda cranes skipper 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐚  to his left at the back of the net. 

Later at 59th minute the four time Man of the match winner 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚 also set the maroons forward and UPL Top scorer 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐮 for a thrilling thunderbolt goal.

𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐮 took no chances for granted after he received a brilliant ball from 𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚  from the left-hand side of the midfield turned the ball at his powerful Left foot and smashed it to the far post.

The 23 yards goal guaranteed the white Rhinos 3 points and 2 goals lead into the second leg of the Fufa Dram finals come 14th of January at Akibua stadium on Sunday.

Lango province came close when  𝐎𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢 hited the woodwork at 77th minutes and 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐝 𝐨𝐤𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐚'𝐬  miss-calculated tackle on 𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨 at the edge of the penalty box gave westnilers a cowrie of hope.
