Roasting Pork

JB Asusi, District secretary for production & resources, warned farmers from smuggling pigs for sale at night or late hours. He urged that pork joint operators should acquire documents for operating pork joints in the District of Moyo to ensure health status of the operators. He continued to say, taxation bill shall be set to guide pork operators in the district.

Clara, one of the reknown business woman & a farmer challenged the officials on the ban of the pork. She says

“Banning of pork in Moyo District has left farmers counting losses, pigs ended up causing more budget on those who are rearing simply because money spent for feeding a pig won't allow a  farmer to  recover all. Pigs are sold at lower prices after having fed them with alot of money due to the restrictions set by the officials”.
