He is known to many, especially his fans as Prince Ug. but to a few as Collins Obbo, and one may wonder why this change in name. But it's not just about his name but a transition from circular music to gospel. For a long time, Prince Ug., son of a Pastor has been singing circular music which is against the will of his parents, and now turns to God, making the parents proud. "I want to make my parents proud of me while they are still alive" the born-again, Collins shares. He says, his parents were not happy for him as a result of his earlier direction in music. But this was not the only reason he left for the gospel, the commonly witnessed hatred among artists in circular music is yet another factor that contributed to his decision. "...and too much hatred in circular music; some even hates you for what you own" Collins who now has an album of 12 gospel songs said, "I had to follow my calling and find my destiny" Adding that, "I didn't want to die as a sinner. So I had to repent and go back home". Tone Touch Music also learned that the parent of the born-again child, now known as Collins welcomed and commend him for the step taken. He started music in 2017 and is known to many for songs like Some Love & Angle Bae, all circular, but now a full gospel artist.
