“I only compete with myself”, Monopoly’s secrete behind the hit songs

One will never miss to mention the name Monoply when talking about West Nile music today. His hit songs like Arua and the annually produced ‘wrap-ups’ since 2018 has given Agadribo Emmanuel, best known as Monopoly BadCharacter a seat to sit in front with many of his songs frequently playing in the local radio stations, streets and sing-alongs by public. Despite the 2-year s closure of bars and directive by government that all music concerts stopped across the country due to Covid-19, Monopoly kept releasing new songs that kept listeners and his fans singing. This was at a time when many artists could not got to studio and work on their new songs. Today, the Arua hit-maker makes headlines in the entertainment news as his songs sits on top position of music chats in the region, last year, the song Arua made it to first position it the ‘West Nile Top 30 Jam 2021’ that was made by DJ Frenjo, a reknown Music Journalist and Host at Arua One FM based in Arua City. Tone Touch Music caught up with the star to understand magic Monopoly has to stand on top and building the brand that has now become a house name. “I compete with who I was in the previous years, of cause anytime I go to studio, I make sure what I do is better than what I did before…” Monopoly was responding to a question on how he gets the fans comparing his songs to be better than another. Monoploy says he is not even certain of the criteria that he uses to make it better, but he was also quick to commend his Manager Ray Biggy and other team member to build the success.
