The year 2019 came with blessings to Panchol Stephen commonly known by his stage name as MB Poundz; it was the year he finally put to action his dream of singing. Born in 2001, the young and talented South Sudanese Afro-Dancehall Artist has spent most of his life in Arua City (West Nile) due to the civil-wars in his home country, South Sudan.
Education:
He went to Queens and Kings Primary School in Arua City for his primary education and later joined Nile High School Arua where he completed O’level of Ugandan education system in 2020.
Music recording journey:
Forced by his talent and love for music, MB Poundz visited Wizetouch Kumapesa at DCN Records, a Studio in Arua City to record 'Show Me' starting his journey of music recording. He later recording songs like Unique, Too Hot, Leave Me, Romantic, Show Me, Level, Killing Me and E-Yin Anhia (Dexin and MB Poundz).
He has worked with many Producers mainly in Arua for his songs and has a bigger picture of moving far especially collaborating with established artists both within Ugadanda and South Sudan.
Nominations and recognitions:
MB Poundz is no0tminated in two categories of Dancehall Artist of the Year and Best Upcoming Artist of the Year under South Sudanese – West Nile Entertainment Awards 2022.
He is one of the fast rising young artists based in West Nile’s regional city of Arua with target of using music to create link between South Sudan and Uganda.
